my administrator just got a call from this number saying they needed to talk to me, "Someone for NGU Group NY called asking if you wanted to be an honorary guest at one of their summits. Are you interested? They want you to call back and go to extension 371. She suspected it was a ploy, and sure enough, it was.

I have had calls saying urgently trying to get hold of the CEO prior to an urgent meeting. He will know what its about. Pose as a specialist company but thanks to this site, tracked them on the web and yes, they are another sales company.

Yes I worked for GDS in the past. When I first went into that office I loved the atmosphere it was very lively. No more then a month after starting work I realized it was not a 9-5 business hour job. I had a day that lasted from 8:30 in the morning to 8:30 at night, and since no one sold anything our sales director said we had to be in work and on our phones by 6:00 A.M the next morning. Not to mention that if you possess individualism at this company and show you had a brain bigger than a peanut, they fire you. Pretty much this job was just like boot camp mentally, they broke all employees down to think the same. I couldn't do the job anymore talking to repeated people on the phone who tell you they just fired someone because the economy is so bad yet they will put 20K towards an advertisement with GDS because they think it will help. It doesn't, the mags go no where and the leadership of the company is just as bad. I think the company if it was true to its word would be great, but they teach tools on how to lie and sneak around secretaries, why should you have to do that if your product is as could as GDS makes it out to be? Stay clear of GDS they will take your money once and call you every quarter to get you to resign.

I have been working in GDS for several years now and about to leave in the next few months once I get paid on my non current deals. The morale in this company has hit rock bottom. During my years I have seen management take drugs and hire escorts as part of the management kudos, which is fine if you are into that stuff, JC has been done TWICE for Sexual Harrassment. But I am not. The biggest problem is that I KNOW for a FACT that we DO NOT circulate most of the magazines. Our mags are not audited! The funny thing is they will beg for me to stay. However like most people I have simply had enough!!!!

I have been working at GDS for 5 years now. Like every company there are good and bad things - no company is perfect. If you, "Former employee" or anyone else on this site can give me one company that is perfect, I will gladly hand in my resignation! Everyone needs to just calm down. There are no "FAKE" names/company names that GDS uses. If you are SO angry, go to www.gdsinternational.com and you will find that GDS actually owns over 40 products and titles. If someone calls you from ESPN, do they say they're calling you from Disney (which is the network that owns ESPN)??? Uh, NO. Same thing, an executive you get a call from is actually calling you from a specific division/project. We aren't trying to "COVER" the GDS name, PLEASE GROW UP!! Every post I've read just sounds so ignorant - what are you guys part of the "Redneck Blue Collar" crew? Let's not get into a philosophical argument about what is "RIGHT" and what is "WRONG" in the corporate world. How many people read US, STAR, and OK - these are genuinely fabricated publications that people buy by the millions and you're sitting here writing complaints about a company whose products you actually know nothing about? Get educated - do some actual research... And you, "FORMER EMPLOYEE" - oh you walking contradiction - reread your blog and figure out where you went wrong, it's really really sad. And after giving it some thought if you can't figure out where you went wrong, just stop writing - I imagine that it must have taken you a good 2 hours to type that entire blog with just 2 fingers. CHEERS

It's true...GDS is the most organized scam and I'm surprised they've been able to get away with it for this long. I was a former employee and pitched the c level executives to death, hung up on secretaries, and lied. The work enviornment is very similar to that of the boiler room. I was part of this fiasco for some time and am glad I got out, moved on with my life and learned that the world is full of shysters and make sure you KNOW who your dealing with. DON'T believe everything you hear. If you got scammed by GDS I hope you learned your lesson and will do your homework on companies you plan on working with rather then just taking their word. Tough lesson to learn. On the same note who spends 10k-50k on a phone conversation, having never met the person face to face? That's what I always wondered and thought at times I should take their $$ if they're dumb enough to spend it like that. Either way GDS Sucks, they're scum and need to be shut down
